This is a bilingual performance of song and stories created in collaboration with Voces Internacionales (International Voices), a group of senior women who have joined together at Diana H. Jones Senior Center in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Led by artist Rebecca Martinez, this diverse group of women met to sing, dance and share their stories.  This performance is the culmination of a residency made possible by the SPARC program (Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide).  SPARC ran from 2012-2015 and is a collaboration among the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, the Department for the Aging and five of the City’s local arts councils. The program was developed in 2009 as part of the Mayor’s Age-Friendly NYC initiative, and is supported, in part, by funding from the Department for the Aging.
